Our Ministries (Overview)

First Presbyterian Church School

Our church school provides a top Christian education for preschool through grade 5. The grade school offers a Christian classical education. For more information, call the school office at 253-272-7145.

Camp McCullough

Acquired in 1945, Camp McCullough is a 40-acre lakefront conference center for year-round retreats and summer camps. It excels in providing solid fun in a good Christian environment. The camping season begins in July. A camp brochure for grades kindergarten through senior high is available. For more information, call the camp director at 425-432-9316.

Wednesday Nights @ FPC

Come for a family style dinner at 6:00 pm (only $5 per person or $15 per family!) followed by Bible teaching, chancel choir practice, or youth handbell choir practice (nursery provided).

Music Ministries

We believe in celebrating what God has done through music. We are extremely blessed by an adult chancel choir, two youth handbell choirs, assorted soloists and instrumentalists, a praise team, and an exceptionally gifted organist who share their gifts of music with us.

Children and Youth

A Fall Harvest Festival is held for the community around the time of Halloween every year with fun, food, and games for the entire family. It’s a healthy alternative to Halloween.

Youth Groups for Middle School and High School students meet weekly.

Youth Bell Choirs for Junior and Senior High Students meet weekly. Our two youth bell choirs are outstanding and take mini-tours each year and perform for many churches in our area.

Prayer Ministry

We have an active telephone prayer chain for quick responses to urgent, dated needs or emergencies for our congregation and their families. Requests come during the day and early evening hours. We also have people who pray as the Lord leads them during the Sunday morning services for pastors, worship leaders, the choir, and the congregation.

Library

Open on Sunday mornings, our church library has a fine collection of books and videos for children through adults.

Missions/World Evangelization

World evangelization is one of our priorities, and we support 16 missionaries around the world. At various times during the year, missionaries are invited to share the ways in which God is working through them during our Sunday services and at other meetings.
