Summer camp starts in a few weeks and we have been working hard getting camp ready for the busy season. Camp hosted a work party
on May 23 and a lot of much needed work was done. The grounds were raked, equipment was organized, gutters were cleared, lawns
were mowed, garbage was thrown away, boats were brought out, the slide was put up, windows were washed, blackberries were killed,
the trails were cleared, workers were fed, and the new bathroom shelves were varnished.
This spring has been a busy time of hosting retreats with a total of ten different church groups coming the past three months. And even as we keep busy, we fix our eyes towards this summer getting our hearts and minds ready for the incoming groups and staff. Not to mention preparing our facility and grounds for the summer. The bathrooms in the cabins have been given a new coat of paint, brand new shelves that are wide enough to hold shampoo bottles with coat hooks, and new lighting. The grounds have seen lots of raking and weeding with trimming of trees and dead trees being taken out. Also flowers have been planted along with some new grass. All the sunny beautiful weather along with the rain has contributed to the need of constant mowing of the ball field.
We are excited for all the wonderful things God has in store for us and the many different people who will come over the next few months
and will hear God's love spoken in powerful ways. Please continue to pray for this vital ministry.
